“Which is better: mindfulness or multitasking” is a very misunderstood question. I can answer it in a very straightforward way, but there is a deeper meaning to it. You reach that deeper state once you start practicing mindfulness regularly.

Now, my first answer to this question is yes. When you concentrate on one job, your focus is much better, and hence you perform better. It is better to do one job at a time with your focussed efficiency rather than doing multiple jobs with an average efficiency and somehow completing it. You, yourself, will feel a greater level of satisfaction once you complete a task where you gave your 100% focus. You always live in the present moment.

But let us now think about how experienced mindfulness practitioners think and act. To understand their point of you, first, let us define what multi-tasking is? You divide a period into small slots and do various jobs in those small slots of time. No one does all five tasks together. You divide all the tasks into five tiny functions and assign a time slot to each of them. You are doing only one task at a time. Once you are an experienced mindfulness practitioner, you can concentrate on each job during the allotted time. So, it is possible to do multi-tasking with a mindfulness approach. It requires practice, and it helps you improve your efficiency and productivity.

Today, there are thousands of articles and blog posts available on meditation and mindfulness. Although, it is excellent because it helps the concept of meditation and mindfulness become more popular among people. It helps people understand the advantages of meditation and mindfulness. But there is a downside to it. All these articles written with partial or shallow knowledge create a misconception about these. And that is why questions like “Which is better: mindfulness or multitasking?” make doubts in people’s minds.

Does Mindfulness Advocate Not Planning For The Future?

The second most common question after “Which is better: mindfulness or multitasking?” is, If I always live in the present, how will I plan for the future? This doubt is also a misconception. Mindfulness never says you don’t plan for the future. It only emphasizes that when you are planning for the future, just do that without worrying about the problems of your circumstances. Again, it comes down to living in the present without worrying about the trauma of the past and fear of the future.

By reading most of the articles, your awareness about meditation and mindfulness may increase. But a complete training and mentor-ship are required to understand the concept comprehensively and hence transform your life fully.

Is Plan B Sabotaging Your Success?

I don’t know what a Success Coach will say about it. But don’t get me wrong and definitely I am not asking you to be irresponsible towards your worldly responsibilities. But I thought that at times we tend to become over cautious while taking actions towards our goals. And so we start taking life as it comes. We tend to become over obsessive about our plan B up to the extent that we start living our “plan B”.

If you have a goal in life and you are working hard to achieve it, it requires sacrifices. But if you always worry what if you don’t succeed in whatever you are trying to achieve and keep looking towards your Plan B, you are sabotaging your success by accepting mediocrity. After some time, it gets absorbed in your subconscious mind so profoundly that you start going with the flow. You lose control of your life and your life purpose.

Point is where one should draw a line of being irresponsible and being too focused not to bother about plan B? Even the greatest success coach will not be able to decide it for you. Simply because this decision has to come from your heart and you should be comfortable with it. This question used to bother me a lot. Last week, I came across a situation when I had no option but to get an answer to this riddle. After hours of a brainstorming session with the self, finally, I had a solution for this. This resolution is for me, and your situation may be different from me, but maybe, it might help you find your answer.

Last week I had to decide whether I should resign from my work for a riskier venture. I was unable to come to a firm decision. This left me with many “ifs” and “buts”. I continued going to work absentmindedly like a robot. I wanted to resign but that guilty feeling of taking an unnecessary risk that involved others was bothering me too heavily. Sometimes, I felt as if I am using “Risk” as a reason to avoid not going boldly with the new option. Maybe, I was too scared!

How To Find If You Are Not Being Irresponsible?

Surprisingly, I found it too easy to find it when I started thinking about it. First, you decide what is at stake?

  1. Are you going to come to a situation where it becomes a question of survival? If your “plan A” fails, is it likely that you might be starving? If your answer is “Yes”, you need a “Plan B.”
  2. Are you not taking the risk to venture out for your dream just because of your ego that what people might say if you fail? 90% of the people never consider that brave step only because of this and continue to live their lives the way they had been living for the last few years or decades.

I recalled the movie “Matrix” at this point where one asks, you have two options. Take a blue pill and continue to live the way you have been living so far but take the red pill and move towards the unknown and explore the abundance of the universe. This statement still gives me goose-bumps for no reason.

We don’t want to come out of our comfort zone. That is why people say; it is all about mindset. Your mindset decides the outcome of your courageous efforts. The result will be different for everybody who is a part of the group doing the same things. Even if the same resources are provided to all. And even if all of them work equally hard and have the same IQ level. That seems so bizarre! But it is true because your mindset finally delivers the result.

If you work hard towards your goal but keep getting distracted every now or then by your Plan B, it is inevitable that at one point, you will fall back to your Plan B.

I want to end this post with a beautiful story that somebody shared with me.

We all have two versions of ourselves. One is the higher version, and the other is the standard version. Our success factor depends on what percentage of our life we are living in our higher version.

So let us understand how to define our higher version.

Imagine you are swimming, and somewhere at the bottom of the pool, somebody clutches your feet from behind. What happens next? You will strike him with your feet as if all your power has miraculously attuned at your feet. You will do this even if you are dead tired and you will do it very naturally. This example defines your higher version.

Just think about it. What portion of your life are you living in your higher version?

Whenever I think about mantras, I recall the Big-Bang theory, as if Big-Bang is taking place in front of my eyes. There was no matter, just a release of unknown numbers and types of vibrational energy. And then, this energy becomes responsible for generating the matter. You are expected to think nothing while Meditating. But the problem is, nothing is also something. And that is the biggest hurdle for any meditator, especially for beginners. So you need to focus on something. That is where mantras come into the picture. Mantras are positive energy. Even if you are not chanting them, but you are focusing on them the way you do self-talk, it works very well while meditating.

There are thousands of mantras available that you can focus on while meditating. Do not worry about which one to select. Just select what touches your heart. I have my favourites, but you may choose any one from the thousands that are available in this universe.

Om Shreem Brzee is one of my favourite mantras and has worked wonders for me. The beauty of this mantra is that it starts showing result in a short time provided you are consistent with its usage. The positive energy that it generates is perfect for your day to day living, and it also creates an aura around you where the abundance of every worldly matter seems achievable. I am writing it so confidently because I have personally experienced it. I made the following video about this mantra to ascertain its pronunciation.

Ara Kara

Ara Kara is a simple but very effective mantra. I have tried this one also and found it very helpful and improved my meditation to an enormous extent. I made the following video to help you with its pronunciation.

These two mantras are my favourites. In addition to these two, there are thousands of mantras available that you find on Google. I am not mentioning more here because I like to write about the tools or facts that I have personally tried, and I have attempted to only these two.

How to use Mantras in your mediation.

Concept of meditation is to go inward instead of thinking about the world. But it is easier said than done. Our brain is habitual of thinking about something or the other. In meditation, you think of nothing. But when you start doing it, you will realize that actually “Nothing” also is “Something” and your brain will dig something out of nothing to think about it. Point is your most important part of the body. “mind” will come as a hindrance to prevent you from meditating. meditating.

In the olden days, experienced people trained their brains to think of nothing during meditation, and once you do it consistently for a few months, your mind will become used to it. But only a handful of people could do that. All others, who tried but failed or could achieve very little success, started quitting.

Meditation, like any other art (or science), has evolved over the years. A few mentors started thinking about how to make meditation learning easier so that everybody could reap the benefits of this great soul healing art of mediation. It started with bringing your attention to your breathing while meditating. It is an excellent way of meditation, and it worked. Breathe-in and breathe-out! Keep your attention to your breathing pattern, and it will prevent your mind from distracting from other activities or thoughts.

The process of bringing your attention to your breathing was further fine-tuned by using mantras. And today, using the mantras for meditation is a very widely used technique. The concept is to keep your attention on the mantra while meditating. Reasons for doing that is:

  1. The Mantras don’t contain any specific meaning so chances of the mind getting distracted are reduced.
  2. These Mantras sound is not a very normal sound but its vibrations follow a particular frequency pattern. And scientifically these range of frequencies are proven to have a special calming effect on our brain. Hence these frequencies not only facilitate a better meditation but they provide us with a very positive aura around us.

Summing Up all these finer points of the “Mantras For Meditation” together

Let us do it step by step:

  1. Choose a warm and quiet room with no disturbance, dim light and a comfortable chair. I normally recommend a beautifully lit Himalayan salt lamp in the corner of the room.
  2. Calm down yourself by doing nothing for a few minutes.
  3. Then close your eyes and bring your attention to your mantra (e.g. Om Shreem Brzee) without speaking it like you do self-talk.
  4. Keep your attention to the mantra only.
  5. Be in that state of mind for 30 minutes.
  6. After regular practice for a few weeks, you will start seeing the magic after 10-15 minutes of your meditation.
  7. You will notice that chirping of the birds that you hardly notice in your day to day life has suddenly amplified. There will be an unusual clarity in whatever you do and see. You will start noticing the movements of the dandelion because of the wind in a different way. You will start appreciating each creation of the universe distinctively. And all these aspects of your new personality will start reducing your stress dramatically. You will find yourself always in a state of bliss and joy and slowly this will become your true nature.

Your taste for books changes as you grow. I am not talking about growing old chronologically, but as you grow to become more experienced in life. I certainly believe that you should not grow by following a set of rules laid by society. There is nothing wrong in doing that, but it is more exciting to grow by exploring the universe the way you want to. This may lead to more ups and downs, but it is more rewarding and fulfilling rather than following the known path.

I was very impressed with the books by Ian Rand, John le Carré etc. during my younger days. Then, as I grew, I experienced many new facets of life, and that led to a change in my overall individuality. I was sure there is much more to our existence than what we are believed to be. And these changes were the results of a few books written by out of the box thinkers. I am going to discuss these three books that changed my life forever. And who knows, maybe, it will bring change in your life too. That’s how I compiled my 3 best books of all time.

My first favourite in the list is a life-changing book “Same Soul Many Bodies” by Dr Brian Weiss. I read this book accidentally. Neither anybody recommended it to me nor I had time to read its review as I was running short of time to catch my flight. I liked its title and bought it at the airport without knowing anything about Dr Brian Weiss or his books. It was a 12 hours flight, and That was one flight where I refused alcohol. I completed this 226 pages book during the trip.

What a life-changing book this was! I was under the influence of this book for about one week when the effect started diminishing because of our unhealthy busy lifestyle. But during that week, I was living in bliss as if I have got rid of all my problems. Every moment was full of peaceful joy. That is one reason I have read this book an umpteenth number of times. Whenever I find myself under troubled water with my life going uncontrolled, I read this book.

Dr Brian has cleverly and interestingly described how different incidents and the actions of our past lives shape our present and future. Yes, This book is about the concept of re-incarnation. The author has done mind-boggling research on this subject and has written this book giving so many examples that this boring ( ?? ) topic generates so many curious moments that you are tempted to skip a few paragraphs to know the ultimate result of the incidence.

It is classified as non-fiction, but Dr Weiss’s unique style of writing makes it suitable for fiction as well as non-fiction categories.

Best concept about his idea is that he has not done all this research for curiosity and entertainment only, but he uses his theories for counselling and healing his patients. He has treated many numbers of his patients successfully using this technique. He makes his patients live and feel glimpses of their past lives with his hypnosis techniques. When they are out of his hypnosis sessions, he logically explains the reasons for their ordeals of this life and gives his recommendations about how to handle it.
Science may question his technique, but results show that more research is needed in this topic of reincarnation. Who knows, it may give us more insights about our life and our universe. I am happy that more people in the world today are coming out of their rigid rationality and are ready to be open to new concepts and are daring enough to jump in the realm of unknown territories.

I have read almost all the best-sellers written by Deepak Chopra. Deepak’s books help you bring balance in life. Incidentally, my favourite book by Deepak Chopra is the one that was not in the best-sellers list like the other famous ones. And that book is “Fire in the Heart: A Spiritual Guide for Teens”. Most probably this book lacks popularity unlike other books by Deepak Chopra, because of its title. He should have thought of a better title. It is quite a strange thing that I read all my 3 favourite books accidentally. I never planned to read them. The book “Fire in the Heart” was lying in a clearance sale box in one of the Whitcoles Stores. I bought it only because I noticed Deepak’s name on it.

The book is about a teenager who is taught spirituality by an old man in the most exciting ways. The book is full of stories, riddles etc. to make the topic super interesting. Start this book and let yourself flow in the words and phrases brilliantly written by Deepak. He literally draws the picture using beautifully crafted words. He has answered the most intricate questions that mankind can ask, in the simplest possible way.

Don’t we often ask ourselves, what happens after death, what is soul etc. etc. Deepak has covered answers from these basic questions to the more worldly ones like, can our wishes come true, who controls the universe, what can we do for the world etc.

You read this book and let your soul be free in a fantasy world which looks more real than the reality.

My Third Book in the list of Best Books of all time

Bhagwad Gita

Third best books of all time, Bhagwad Gita

Last but not least, one of my favourites and third in the list of my best books of all time, “Bhagwad Gita”. Bhagwad Gita was written in 400BCE, but there is no clarity about who authored it. It is considered to be a book in itself, but actually, it is a chapter of the long epic Mahabharat. Mahabharat is a real long story involving generations. I will not go into the details of Mahabharat but will tell you only the portion because of which Bhagwad Gita was turned into a book.

War breaks in between the two kingdoms in ancient India. Kings of both these kingdoms named, Pandavas and Kauravas were cousins. Krishna, the human incarnation of God takes part from the Pandava’s side. Kauravas were the representation of dishonesty & aggression, whereas Pandavas were the representation of integrity and righteousness.

The Main warrior from the side of Pandavas, Arjun, turns emotional right before the war. He questions Krishna about the validity of the war. He says, what is the point of this war? Even if I win, it will be at the cost of the lives of my cousins, uncles and other family members.

Krishna explains Arjun, why this war is necessary. He says it is nothing personal for you. The good has to win over evil, and that is how the universe maintains its regulatory order.

Arjun kept on asking question after question, and Krishna replies to each and every question to remove any doubt from Arjun’s mind and heart. Bhagawad Gita is essentially a dialogue between Arjun and Krishna.

Each answer that Krishna gives becomes a cosmic law in itself.

I am too curious about space-time concept, and that is why I love one of the conversations between Arjun and Krishna. When Arjun started asking too many questions with heaps of “ifs” and “buts”, Krishna lost his patience and showed him his non-human personality. He opens his mouth and shows him the present, past and future of all the events on earth at the same time. He, then explains Arjun, actually, the past, present and future are all available on the same plane, but humans go through each stage to learn the purpose of their life that they could not learn in their past lives.

Overall, I found this book very interesting and its philosophy of life is quite logical and robust.

What a phenomenal advancement in the field of Artificial Intelligence and machine learning!

In the last few years, artificial intelligence has given new dimensions to automation. Artificial intelligence has improved the productivity and efficiency of many sectors. With a massive amount of data being fed regularly, machine learning optimizes the output as if it is thinking like we humans.

I have heard here and there about the use of artificial intelligence almost all walks of life, whether it is about a driverless car or use of digital surveillance driven artificial intelligence for several applications. USA’s drones now can reach the precise location, drop the bombs, return and land on the moving ship.

Now let us think about our political scenario to evaluate why something is not right.

World over, political practices are in decline. I was shocked to see the advertising expenses by political leaders. Just imagine, we work hard, earn money, pay taxes and then, our tax money is used in advertising to tell us that we are doing so great. What a joke! Come on, we have worked hard and we know that we are doing great. This is just one example. In every country, these leaders are throwing our money the way they want to as if it is their own money.

Recently, I read in an Indian newspaper that 1% of Indian population increased its wealth by 37% in 2018. The statistics itself suggests that something is wrong somewhere. What kind of wealth distribution is this? I am neither the leftist or the rightist. But I know this is not justified.

A few years ago I visited India. I saw some road work in progress in a posh locality of Mumbai. A few frail and unhealthy looking men were doing something at the side of the road. Out of curiosity, I went to have a closer look. What I saw shocked me. These men were laying fibre optics cable with very bare minimum tools. Problem is, these powerful people don’t want to make their workers, a part of their success. There is a massive disparity in wealth distribution especially in the third world. when the top 1% of people of the country generate wealth for themselves.

There is no respect for the labour class. Countries like China and India are creating enormous wealth at the cost of their poverty-stricken population. That is the wrong distribution of wealth. The western world has also joined the party by offloading their manufacturing etc. to these countries to exploit cheap labour.

Technology is the solution

Artificial Intelligence

What surprises me, is that nobody is talking about the use of Artificial intelligence for good governance. I am not talking about using artificial intelligence in bits and pieces but as a whole networked process. Going up to the extent of technology replacing our head of states (Yes, I mean it, replacing our Prime Ministers, Presidents etc. my machines). The complete system can be managed by support staffs. Does it not shock you?

But let me explain.  What happens if we get rid of our head states by implementing the right artificial strategy. Massive amount of data is anyway being generated for all financial transactions for every section of society and it is being used by the big business house to make their business more productive, more efficient and more profitable which is a good thing. But we can use the same very data to optimize the allocation of wealth in a more efficient way.

Let us understand the whole concept by an example

Let us assume that we have all the data available about all the farmers in a country, i.e. their land, what they grow in each season and their expenses.  Crop collection trucks arrive when the harvest is ready, weighs the crop and the system automatically calculates the income of each farmer because we already have their expenses. And if numbers show that they are in loss, the budget allocated to agriculture automatically increased, and a predefined algorithm decides how much money each farmer deserves for survival in such a way that this year’s loss doesn’t affect the next year’s harvest. The system calculates that amount and transfers that amount to the bank account of each farmer. Isn’t that simple?

To go further, if the mining sector generates enough profit in the same year, transfer the surplus fund to the sector which struggled. That’s how you maintain the balance in the society. If the IT sector is booming, we can’t just be happy about it if the agriculture sector is not doing well. Think about it, we can’t start eating dollars if we are not able to generate food.

We can create various integrated models for each sector whether it is public transport, aviation, social justice etc. Now, if the decisions are not only taken but implemented automatically without human intervention, why the hell we require these head of states who make selfish decisions either to keep their power for the next election or to help big business houses. Because these business houses help them win elections with their ill earned money. (Remember, 1% of the population increased their wealth by 37%!!).

Artificial intelligence has the potential to precisely optimize our resource distribution system. And that is the demand of today’s world.

Do you sometimes think that you need to reboot your life and start all over again? Sometimes we become so entangled in our life that we don’t even know whether we are solving our problems or we are making it more complicated. It looks as if every problem is interlinked with some other problem. And we keep living like a robot. Mornings no more start with enthusiasm to take on the world. It is just the same repetitive exercise day in and day out.

If you are going through this predicament, I have a solution for you. I have not learnt this by reading some book or by attending a self-help program. I have learnt this with my own experience. Listen, a time comes when you stop getting new ideas because you always have a problem to take care. Have you ever thought that this condition comes because you might have taken a wrong path somewhere down the line? And your turns so intricate all the time that you don’t have time to go back and change your path again.

Yes guys, if that is the situation, you need to reboot your life and start all over again. Try this. Of course, you need lots of guts to do this. When you try to do it for the first time, you feel as if your world around you is collapsing. But once you punch that moment with your free will, you are truly relieved. It is like getting a new life with all your well-accumulated experience under your belt.

You won’t believe when I tried it in my life, it was one of those Aaha moments. I decided not only to have new friends but even new enemies (HaHa). I stopped trying to resolve my old problems and started seeing the world from a new perspective.

  1. You are always worried and restless. Sometimes for no reason.
  2. You always have in your subconscious mind that your dream will always remain a dream so you stop chasing them.
  3. You become obsessively conscious about what others think about you.

Guys, it is that simple. If you identify yourself with the above three points, you need to reboot your life immediately.

How to go about rebooting your life.

When you think about it for the first time, you will find it to be an impossible task but once you do it you will realize, Oh! so silly of me, it was so easy. Why didn’t I do it earlier!

Follow the steps below to reboot your life and set yourself free.

  • Close your ears from your family, extended family, friends and all around you.
  • Join a meditation or mindfulness exercise program. Meditation helps you attain cosmic consciousness as a result of which you don’t let the external actions, objects or human beings affect you in any way. You start believing in your individuality. Mindfulness exercises help you live in the moment rather than living with the trauma of the past and fear of the future.
  • When you enter a room full of people, learn not to think who likes you and who doesn’t. Instead, start thinking about who you like and who you don’t.
  • Remove everything from your “To do” list that you have been trying for six months and before without any desired results.
  • Stop overthinking about your responsibilities. Remember, the world will not stop if you die today.
  • Make a list of all the things that you always wanted to do since your childhood. Don’t think that now you are too old for this. A caution here! Don’t just make the list, start acting upon your list. Another caution, do not fear and wait to be alone to do it (Oh! people might laugh at me.). Do it when you want to do not bothering who is watching you. These are very small things but these are the things which become bottlenecks in rebooting your life. I assure you, it’s my experience talking.
  • Make a change in your daily routine. If you were a late riser in the morning, become a morning person or vice versa.
  • Make drastic changes in the decor of your office, library or whatever space you call your own.
  • Do not hold grudge against the troublesome people of the past but do not allow them to intrude into your new life. Politely ignore them and move on with your life.
  • Join any new group/s of like-minded people and make new friends.
  • Renew your financial strategies and stop coming into peer pressure to spend your money where you don’t want to. Have the courage to say “No”.
  • Start loving yourself first before you think about loving somebody else.

That is all you have to do to reboot your life. Isn’t so simple? Congratulation on your new life. Live it to the fullest. You are free and universal abundance is waiting for you.

PS: I have not written this post to encourage our youth by giving them unwanted advice. It is for anybody who needs to reboot his / her life. There is no age factor for achieving rebooting. I have done it in my 50s. So you can do it too whatever age range you belong to.

Once I watched this video by Team Fearless on YouTube: 10 Habits of All Successful People. Although these 10 habits mentioned in the video are quite important for anybody’s success, I felt there is more to being super successful than just following these habits like a robot. The whole list looks too theoretical. And I doubt that blindly following 10 habits of all successful people, will really make you as successful as they are.

And one day…

I was sitting during my break at work, sipping my coffee when a very unusual thought appeared in my mind. Why only a very few people are able to taste super success? After all, we don’t have a shortage of talent and I have come across many super talented people who have not achieved even ten per cent of success what they could have. There must be a reason behind it. So let us analyze.

What makes a super successful man (or woman)

You track the life of any super successful person and you will find one thing common in all of them. Although they created a goal for their lives instead of being obsessed with achieving their goal, they all were more obsessed with the journey that took them to that goal. They were passionate about what they did. they loved the process that they create to implement their ideas and turn it into something great. I observed this passion in many of them like Elon Musk, Tesla, a few Hollywood stars and sports stars.

If you don’t love what you do, you will always be that 10 to 5 guy who keeps taking stress to pay his monthly bills. Love the process of giving shape to your idea and let the outcome be the byproduct of this process. And that is what these successful people do so perfectly well.

There will be many ups and downs before you reach your goal. Learn to enjoy these twists in life.

It is easier said than done

I know you must be thinking, that it is very easy to say that you love these twists and turns in life but problems can never make you happy and they degenerate your enthusiasm. Well, it depends on how you look at life. Change your perspective and you will start enjoying these twists and turns.

Let me explain it by an example. Do you love playing video games? What kind of games do you love? Obviously, the ones that have lots of twists and turns and offer many challenges. You love to overcome those challenges. Just imagine, will you ever love a video game where you trigger a tank by your mouse and it follows the enemy and blasts him very easily? But why you are not scared of failures in the video game? simply because you are playing the game but you are watching the whole scenario as a third person.

Your life is exactly like this video game. Carry on with your work, enjoy it but look at the whole scenario as a third person. Believe me, once you become used to living like that, you will start enjoying twists and turns that life entrusts on you and that is when you become addicted to success. It is as simple as that.

Spiritually speaking, Karma of your previous lives defines 60 to 70 per cent of your success. So, if it is all (The outcome) not in your hand anyway, what is there to be scared off? Just enjoy the game.

I started meditation about 8 years ago. There was not much of a difference in the first few years but I continued as a part of daily routine to add a “tick” in my “To Do” list. My personality started changing once I started reaching deeper into my consciousness level. Yes, meditation changed my life forever. The state where you are not aware of your self as a part of your body but as a part of the superconscious entity. The state where “Thoughts” do not have any place to tell you the difference between the good and the bad of this relative world. The state where you are a part of the absolute and do not relate to the consequences of the changes of this relative world. Once you become used to entering that state regularly, your personality changes drastically. You become aware of the fact that if thoughts are not there, every living being in the world is the same. There is no difference between any two living beings in the state of super consciousness. Everybody becomes a part of the absolute. Somehow, I am feeling a bit awkward using the word “Super Consciousness”. It makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. I don’t know why. Hence, I will prefer to call it, the state of altered consciousness.

The first change that it brought in my personality was the submission of ego. I, no longer enjoy ego massage and I, no longer notice people manipulating their personalities in order to prove themselves different from others. I do not fight my ego, I do not suppress my ego or I do not control my ego. For me, it is not a trait to react. I just don’t feel its presence. For me, the ego is neither a negative nor a positive trait. It just doesn’t exist for me.

I do not carry any burden or stress in my day to day daily life because, although I know that I am a part of this relative world, still I see all the action as a third person and enjoy the whole action as if I am watching a movie. Even if I am living in this relative world, I always sub-consciously know that I am the part of the absolute.

Fear of death has completely disappeared. Because I know that I am not this body. I am using this body as a vehicle only. Fear of death has transformed into the curiosity of knowing what awaits after this life.

Finally, let me write about the sheer experience of being in the meditative stage. I will give you an example. I normally do my meditation in my library which is not part of our house but it is on the other side of our back garden. Normally the area is quite peaceful and when I am alone at the library, I hardly hear any sound. As I start my meditation, all of a sudden the quietness appears to be disappearing and the sound of the wind, chirping of the birds etc. gets amplified. I started noticing these sounds which I wasn’t just a few minutes ago. Further, as I slip into deep meditation, the place resumes quietness again. All the sounds surrounding me start to disappear again. Although, we know that our surrounding mirrors our state of mind, its real manifestation is quite fascinating.

What is advertising? Are They Proving Us Dumb? Do not underestimate the influence of advertisement in our daily lives.

So, Let us try to understand what is advertising and how they are proving us dumb  by illustrating a few examples.

Last week I was watching an Indian comedy show on YouTube. The comedian was Varun Grover. He just joked about one of the advertisement that was being shown on one of the Indian TV channels. And that ad was really hilarious. The ad goes like this. There is this dark skinned girl who applies for pilot’s job. She goes for the interview and doesn’t make it. She comes back, uses fair and lovely cream for 15 days, goes for the interview again and gets selected. Don’t you think it is the dumbest ad that has been conceived? But its working. This stupid ad is motivating many to start using Fair and lovely cream. How dumb we can be? But then, I thought, it had always been like that. These big business houses will come out with a dumb product which doesn’t make any sense and they will build a brilliant story around their dumb product and prove the public that you are dumb if you are not using their dumb product.

So, I decided to make a list of such products.

    1. Top dumb idea in my list is, shampoo and conditioner. Do you remember way back in 70s, it used to be only shampoo that used to turn our hair shiny and silky and it used to cost $4. Then they came up with the idea that No, shampoo is only for cleaning the hair and another product “Conditioner” is required to turn your hair shiny and silky. Come on, Why? Original shampoo was working fine. They didn’t even need to prove it. They just said that a top Hollywood superstar uses shampoo and conditioner so you all must also use, else you are dumb. We gracefully accepted it. Final result was, now instead of buying shampoo in $4, we spend $4 on shampoo and $4 on conditioner. We even pretend that it all works so well. I again decided not to be trapped in their quest to fool meWhat is advertising? All in one shampoo and searched in the market, any brand of shampoo that doesn’t need a conditioner. I could not get, but my wife being an expert shopper managed to find one. But their was a catch. It was only for men!! I fail to understand, whats the difference between a man’s hair and women’s hair. Or is it easier to fool women? Just kidding.
    2. Second in my list is after shave lotions. Do you remember, way back in 70s, we used to rub slab of alum to stop blood when you cut your skin while shaving? Then these so called smart guys came up with this dumb idea of after shave lotion. Show me one after shave lotion which will stop blood coming out of your poor skin. None. But these guys will convince you by saying, listen you will feel fresh if you use our after shave. See that hero is fighting with 10 guys after using this after shave. O My god!! How dumb but still they force us to accept it, else you are declared old What is advertising : Alumfashioned. You have blood coming out because of a cut while shaving, let it keep oozing out, use after shave and feel fresh. Its like instead of giving first aid to a person injured in an accident, offer him a new shirt so that he could feel fresh. I decided not to be proved dumb by these guys. Last week I searched almost all the markets of Wellington and found a slab of alum that costed me 99C. It stops blood immediately and I don’t have to spend $15 to buy an aftershave that does nothing. If you want to feel fresh, buy any dam perfume.

    1. Now, coming back to toothpastes, I fail to understand if sweet is bad for our teeth, why all these toothpastes are made sugary? Not only that, An independent body conducted a research by lab testing all brands from cheapest to the most expensive toothpastes. Click Here to read the result of this research. Result was straight forward: “In reality, you’re paying extra for essentially the same product.”. But can you believe, the power of advertising is so profound that shops continued to sell expensive toothpastes in spite of this result which was properly broadcasted on a very popular TV show here in New Zealand. They keep proving us dumb again and again and we tend to feel honored that they have proved us dumb. I searched on google for a few home made tooth pastes and found this one quite effective. Again like, after shave lotion, they will say you will not feel fresh after doing this. Come on, chew a few fresh mint leaves from your garden. That will make your mouth real fresh. Alternatively, if you belong to tropical country, pluck a soft stem from a neem tree and crush it from one side and use it to clean your teeth. (And because it really works, do not expect it to be sweet).

  1. Latest product entering my great list is Fitbit. By the way, my whole family is Fitbit crazy. Before I go into the details of Fitbit, let me tell you a small incident that took place before Fitbit arrived in the market. We were in the process of developing an App that will count how many steps you have walked through out the day and if you don’t move for 2 hours, it will prompt you to get up and go for a walk. All the modules were made but only problem was that one has to carry the smart phone in the hand if the App detects the movement else it will keep reminding you to get up and go for a walk. One of my colleagues even joked that we may tell people to wrap the phone around their knees to make it work. Anyway, after many brain storming sessions we abandoned the idea of this App. Now, coming back to Fitbit, it was introduced with great pre-launch advertisement gimmicks as it always happens. My wife gifted one to me on Christmas. I configured it wore around my wrist, walked 10 steps from my living room to my car, drove to a suburb in Wellington about 15 Kms away, parked the car and walked another 20 steps to attend a meeting with a client. Guess what? Before I could enter the room, I hear a “Beep”, and my phone announces,  “Congratulation Ranjan, you have just been awarded a silver badge (or something like that)”. I was stunned, I have hardly walked and this fellow has awarded me a badge for walking 30 steps. Then, I realized, these guys have made the same thing that we had conceived off, we abandoned  it because we didn’t want to fool the people and here these guys are openly fooling the whole world leaving all their ethics on the back burner. Anyway, I reached home and narrated the whole story to my wife and to my surprise, she was already aware of the fact. Then why are you using it if it is giving wrong data to you, I asked. “Well, at least it is giving me some data”, was her reply. Attention guys, this is called the power of advertisement. These guys are bent upon proving us dumb and they have created such an atmosphere that we feel proud of being proved dumb. I give up. Why do you need garbage data to know whether you have walked enough or not. It is not going to improve your fitness. You can’t punish your body to improve your fitness. It has to be joint exercise between your body and mind. There has to be a “feel good factor” when you go for a walk to improve your fitness. Go and walk bare foot on the beach. Let the waves touch your feet when you are walking and feel it, enjoy it. Listen to the sound created by the waves, smell the air and keep walking. Go for forest breathing. Feel the trees, listen to the song of birds. Try to relate to it and keep walking. That’s how you can improve your fitness. Not by, feeling great by receiving a fake silver badge generated by a fake App using a garbage of data.

Meditation And Law Of Attraction Compliment Each Other

Our minds are conditioned in such a way that we tend to think and act in a predefined way. This process of conditioning the mind starts as soon as we are born. And who conditions it? This is done by our society, our country, our education system, our religion, etc., in a very organized way. We get our minds conditioned unknowingly and innocently. We are made to feel that it is good because it gives a direction to our life.

But on the contrary, it is too bad for us because it hinders our originality and restricts our imagination. Living life is all about exploring new possibilities and experiencing new ideas. Living life is not about following a routine designed by some institution. Also, we start following these rules blindly. Many of these norms and regulations are flawed because these are made by people with limited knowledge. And then society or religion tells us how to live our lives. Come on, Mr X and Mr Y have come to live in this world different purposes. How can they live similarly? That’s how our lifestyle starts opposing natural cosmic laws instead of resonating with it. That is where meditation and law of attraction complement each other. I recall a short but interesting story to give you an idea of how our mind gets conditioned.

A man jokingly said to a very educated person with all his seriousness that tomorrow it is going to rain gold coins. The educated man obviously responded that you have gone crazy. This man said the same thing to an uneducated farmer, and the farmer’s reply was, well, it’s great if it really happens. The man laughingly said, you really think there may be a possibility of raining gold coins? The farmers said why not if such a giant tree gets encapsulated in a tiny seed, why can’t gold coins rain? Are you now getting how our mind gets conditioned? We expect things based on our past experiences. For us, only what we know is a possibility. We need to change that perspective. Our thoughts create our reality. The cosmic universe can generate an abundance of possibilities.

Meditation and law of attractionThe whole universe moves with mathematical precision, and movement of every living and non-living entity in the world has an effect on the rest of the universe and vice versa. Can you imagine if one planet, e.g. mars, slows down or turns its direction, it may result in the collapse of the whole universe? What I mean to say is, one living entity or a group can not assume that it is entirely independent and its actions have no effect on the rest of the universe. Every living or non-living object are interdependent, and if everybody’s actions resonate with the rest of the universe, then the universe responds back in a positive way. But, unfortunately, today’s materialistic world has completely gone against natural cosmic laws and that is the reason why we today are living in such a pathetic world. Physics has already made many discoveries in this field by coming up with unified field and string theories. They all give enough evidence that every living or non-living entity emerges from one source of energy.

Anyway, coming back to our main topic, meditation helps us achieve that alignment where our actions resonate with the universal laws instead of going against it. We approach inwards towards that source of energy which can follow universal cosmic laws in a very natural way.

Law of attraction

Meditation is considered by many as a very complicated process which it is not. Our mind is quite fickle (Our brain is conditioned to live in that kind of state), and hence we need to give it a job so that we could bring our mind to a calm state. So, why not ask our brain to keep its attention to our breathing pattern. So whenever any thoughts disturb your meditation, ask our mind to bring its attention to our breathing pattern. So, we have assigned a job to the brain to keep it engaged, we are free to carry on with our meditation. Now, you need to discipline yourself to do this meditation twice a day for 30 minutes and see the result in 6 months. You will find your whole life wholly transformed within these 6 months. The only key to success is practice.

Now, you must be wondering where does the law of attraction come in this discussion? It does. When our actions start following universal cosmic laws, the universe responds back to our needs and requirements in a very positive way. It shows us ways to achieve abundance in every possible way. It happens on such a subtle level that it happens even before you realize how and what made it happen. That is why I have titled this post Meditation facilitates the law of attraction.

And finally, last but not least, people want to change the world around them, but they want to remain the same. That is not possible. So, first, change yourself for the new situation before you could change your world around you.

Let me explain why I thought of writing this post about meditation techniques. I grew up in a very traditional orthodox family in India. During my childhood, the pressure of following traditional rituals was so much that I started hating that environment. As soon as I left home, I almost rebelled against that orthodox Hindu environment. I declared myself an atheist and lived with my new belief system for more than 15 years. As I grew older, I started realizing that actually, I am not what I am trying to project myself. I was a deeply spiritual person, but by declaring myself as an atheist, I was trying to take my revenge towards a society which was imposing their ideas and beliefs on me whether I like it or not. The system was such that if you agree with them, you are a good boy and if you do not agree with them, you are a bad boy. During my teen years, I lived with that guilt throughout that I am not a good boy. Fortunately, I got hold of a few outstanding books which changed my life forever. I read almost all the books by Deepak Chopra, “Same Soul Many Bodies” by Dr Brian Weiss, “Home with God” by Neale Walsh etc. All these books helped me understand myself and get rid of all the negative energies that I was living with.

I learn t how to think spiritually and truthfully without following any religion. And that is how I wanted to live since my childhood. I respect all religion, but I refuse to be a salesman of any religion. I tried to think about cosmic structure and principles instead of following religious rituals. The topic of soul-body integration introduced me to the world of meditation. I was too satisfied with newly found interests, and instead of the following spirituality as a boring subject or process, I started noticing it as a real cosmic adventure.

Today, many options are available to learn the art of meditation, and I have tried a few of them. Every style has its positive points, but it all depends on you what satisfies you the most.

Deepak Chopra has given a new dimension to meditation techniques and spirituality. Maybe in my case, I showed more interest in what he says because; I was able to relate with his style of liberal philosophies better than a religious preacher. He always backed up his spiritual principles with scientific theories. Deepak Chopra gives too much importance to the audio-visual frequencies around us, and he says these frequencies have the power to alter our state of consciousness. Meditation can elevate our level of awareness from being conscious of the subconscious and then to superconscious. I have followed Deepak Chopra’s style of meditation in the past where he gives too much importance to the lighting condition of the place of meditation and the vibrations that are created in the atmosphere by speaking a few Sanskrit mantras. I found this style very, very useful and works well, especially if you are using meditation as a tool for your stress management. It works. This was all going OK when Deepak Chopra came out with a new product “Dream Weaver”, and for me, it surpassed all my expectations. It is a mind-boggling product, and you have to use it to understand what I am trying to say. It is complicated to express in words, the state of mind that this product creates.

The basic principle of this product is the same that audio-video frequencies around us have the power to alter our level of consciousness. This time, Deepak Chopra has taken the help of electronic gadgets to induce these frequencies in our minds. If nothing else, you will at least feel relaxed as soon as you start using it. I completed one week Raj Yoga free course and loved the experience. I came to know about them accidentally. I read in one of our local newspapers that St. James Theatre is showing a free one-hour movie on the concept of “time”. I went to the theatre, and there you had to write your details before you enter the theatre. As soon as I wrote my address, the lady exclaimed! Oh, you are our neighbour. I did not know, but Bramha Kumari’s meditation centre was at one of the houses on our street, which was a few blocks from our house.

So, I decided to enrol for their free meditation course. I liked their style of meditation and sermons. It is one of those places where you realize the beauty in simplicity. Their method of meditation is emptying your mind from all kind of thoughts. It is a bit difficult to do, but you improve with regular practice and feel better and more peaceful every time you do it. The teachers there are full of compassion in their approach, and you feel great just for being there.

My Very Own Meditation Technique:

Earlier I had stated that I take meditation and spirituality as a cosmic adventure, and that is why in addition to following meditation techniques experts, I keep experimenting with my ideas as well. At times I get mind-blowing results. Here I am sharing one of my techniques which have given very productive results for me. I have named this meditation technique “Meditate by letting your imagination go wild”.Let imagination go wild

Our thoughts, fantasies and imaginations are restricted by laws of physics, our brain’s social conditioning, religious conditioning etc. as we have always been taught these facts and hence our mind gets conditioned to restrictions. Not only the laws of physics but the cause and effect theory also restrict our imagination. We need to train our brain to take that flight of imagination unrestricted by scientific laws known to us. We all know, the outcome of our efforts is never proportional to the efforts that we put in. Life will be too dull and smooth if you are sure that if you do this, the result will be this. All our efforts are being controlled by an unknown source and by a strange logic. We can never quantify the struggle of a person from all logical point of views, i.e. intelligence, the logic applied and amount of effort put in.
So, one day I decided to let my imagination go wild irrespective of any logic. I still remember I was sitting at a secluded beach in Wellington and the sun was setting in. I closed my eyes and let my brain go wild all out. Within minutes, I imagined myself flying in the sky at full speed without my body. It was as if my soul is out and is travelling in the space. I was moving away from earth. I was in the middle of the universe and was watching the ground below. The whole sky was dark, and the twinkling stars were giving the entire scene a fantastic beauty. I moved towards the Milky Way. I had that sense of freedom where no force is imposing any control over me. I was in complete control of myself. I felt very light like a snowflake.
I am giving my experience only as an example. You are free to choose any imagination. The beauty of this kind of meditation is that you can be very creative. Unlike other meditation techniques where you put an effort to block any thought intruding your mind, here you become a part of thoughtlessness. Instead of placing an attempt to stop the external intruding thoughts, here, you create your internal thought process which automatically stops the foreign thought. I have been doing it for a few months now, and I am sure if you do it for 20 minutes every day, you will see the difference in your personality. You will not only enjoy those 20 minutes, but it will become a perfect way to lower your day to day stress.
Overall the whole exercise is gratifying. Try it out and let me know whether it created any difference in your life.

I think most of us would be surprised to find that we go to great lengths to please people around us. We will all constantly deny it, stating that we are independent and can think for ourselves but at the end of the day the sad truth is that even the most intelligent and head strong members of society can fall into the trap of being people pleaser.

Have you ever thought what happens to your personality when you keep putting efforts to please others? You no longer be yourself but start living as somebody else and that is too dangerous a situation to be in. You may be able to make somebody happy by being not you, but what happens to your own pleasures. You sabotage your own happiness in order to please others. And do you know why you are doing that? Just to massage your own ego. And when you try to do that, you are never ever able to look within, the most important process to understand yourself. Your attention is always outward. This is how you degrade yourself spiritually.

Being people pleaser, not only affect your peace and happiness but it starts affecting your job, business and other worldly affairs. I know, when I was a chronic people pleaser, I always prioritize my daily schedule wrongly. And I didn’t do it deliberately but subconsciously. I used to make my schedule to please people and not to suit the interest of my business. This is how you degrade yourself in your worldy affairs. Once I came out of the people pleaser trap, immediately my business skyrocketed to a different level.

Have you ever thought how you become people pleaser? Mostly your brain is conditioned to this people pleasing decease during your childhood. First, within the family many parents subconsciously impose on their children that it is their duty to please mom and dad. Instead of creating the flower of love in the hearts of small kids, they come out with the disciplinarian attitude that kids are supposed to please them. If that is not enough, I have seen in many families where the child is encouraged to please any successful relative or an influential friend and I don’t understand why?

I’m not saying that it is bad not to go out of your way to help someone but I believe we must have a strong sense of personal identity before we mindlessly just follow the demands of somebody else. So next time someone asks you for help, ask yourself if you are doing it out of fear, or just to please him or really you want to do it because YOU are really going to be happy once you do this. You should never do anything just to make somebody happy unless you yourself gain anything out of it. And that anything can be really anything. It may be financial profit, your happiness, your spiritual fulfillment or any dam thing. Stick to your gut and don’t deviate from your values. Follow this and you will always find yourself with spiritual and worldly abundance.

 Before you read this blog post, let me ask you a question. In 70s if I had told you that one day water will be sold in sealed bottles, your immediate reply would be, you have gone nuts! But only after 30-40 years, bottled water is a part and parcel of our lives. Above fact has a good relevance to my blog post today. We all know that global warming is almost out of control now and most of its reasons may be attributed to traffic congestion in our cities. Governing bodies of every city in the world have tried their best by implementing different strategies but nothing seems to be working. Day by day all major cities are turning into gas chambers.

Yesterday, One of my staffs phoned me that he is not well and will not be able to make it to office but he can finish his job at home as data files required for the job are available in our company’s cloud drive. And that was my “Aa Haa” moment. After all, our every data is available in the cloud and if required, a virtual private network can be created for all the computers belonging to our staffs and if a meeting is required to be organized for our brain storming sessions, our very own Google provides Hang Outs for such meetings. Or else, there are so many ways to organize webinars. Why do we need to be physically present under one roof for doing jobs that can done at different physical locations and shared easily over internet? Working from home is the only way we can improve the conditions of our streets and highways. Only workers who need to go to work instead of working from home, are the ones who are either in manufacturing industry, service related industries or the industries where labs or workshops are essential part of the work. I fail to understand why people working in ministry of education, ACC and hundreds of other such institutions need to go to work? Thanks to technology, today we have every possible communication media at our disposal. Then why we need to be physically present at one premises to do our jobs? Need of the hour is to create such digital infra structure for large administrative departments so that the staff, specially bureaucrats should be able to perform their duties from home.

Just imagine, out of overall population of Auckland, if 750000  do not have to drive every day to go to work, streets of Auckland will improve over night without spending any money. People will be healthier giving relief to our already crumbling health system and productivity and efficiency of all these departments will sky rocket. I am surprised why nobody has thought about it so far. This is not rocket science to implement this in today’s technological environment.

Then the question still remains unanswered, What is stopping us from doing something like this? Now, recall my initial question, you would have called me a nut if I told you that one day water will be sold in bottles. Same is the reason for this. We resist change. We find it difficult to accept new concepts. But I think, now we have reached a point of no returns as far as the problem of global warming is concerned and we and our governments need to be more bold to implement new life styles suitable to the society of today.

My Experiments With Mantras For Inner Peace

 My spiritual journey started with meditation, and that followed with mantras for inner peace. A period of 2 years, from 2005 to 2007, was quite bad for me. During that time, I felt as if the whole world is against me. During that time, I turned towards meditation and entered the world of Deepak Chopra, Neale Donald Walsch, Dr Brian Weiss and many others. I read every book written by these experts. Suddenly, my perception of this world and life changed. Motivated by my newly found wisdom, I thought, just reading is not enough, and I need to exercise the practical side of spirituality. I felt as if some invisible force is guiding me. Interesting coincidences were becoming a part of this new journey. Once, we were walking on a busy part of downtown Wellington known as Courtney place. I saw a poster for the movie “Samsara” at St. James Theatre.

I went in, out of curiosity. It was free, courtesy Bramah Kumaris. Bramah Kumaris is a cult where they teach about the spiritual side of our life. The only condition to watch this free movie was a simple registration process. The lady at the counter exclaimed when she saw my address. Oh, we are neighbours! One of our centres is on your street. You are at 57, and we are at 23. She asked me to feel free to come and join their seven days free meditation course AKA 7 days Raj Yoga course. Anyway, we watched this superb movie and came back home. By that time, I had made up my mind that I will not get a better opportunity than this if I wish to learn meditation.

I was all pumped up on Tuesday and lightly asked my 12 years old daughter, whether she wants to join me. I was over the moon when she quickly said, Yes, why not. Now, it is a tiny thing but your confidence catapults to a new height if your kids support you when you try to do something new. We reached the centre at 6 PM, and Sister Gabriel welcomed us. We were roughly 15 of us, and the class began with sister Gabriel’s proactive introduction to Raj Yoga. And that was followed by 30 minutes of guided meditation. It was out of the world, sensational experience. Meditation was my first step towards spiritual life. I completed seven days of Raj Yoga Course and felt very satisfied with the outcome. The atmosphere of these centres is beyond any imagination. So much of compassion, near ego-free lifestyle and sometimes, you wonder whether these people ever get angry or sad.

Riding on my satisfaction with my newly found spiritual lifestyle, I started feeling a lot better and the stress of those bad two years period was already a thing of the past. In fact, instead of cursing that period, I started feeling thankful for that stressful period because it opened my life to new horizons.

Deepak Chopra’s literature convinced me of the fact that everything in the world is all about energy. All that exists, be it a physical matter, an ideology, a feeling or anything else that you can name, are the result of vibrations or energy. Now if everything is energy, then every frequency of the vibration must be giving different results. That result might be the change in the properties of matter, change in our behaviour, change in the results of our hard work or anything that you can conceive off. So, it is the frequencies of the energy that controls the world.
And that is what Mantra Yoga is all about.


I did further research on various bands of frequency range and found that our conscious, subconscious, relaxed and sleeping state of minds depends on the band of frequency that is governing the mind. These bands of frequencies are categorized as Alpha, Beta, Delta and Theta.

Alpha: 7-12 Hz. We feel relaxed in this state, and this state is excellent for creativity.

Beta: 13-40 Hz. We are active in this state of mind.

Delta: 0-4 Hz. We are in our sleeping state.

Theta: 4-7 Hz. This state is defined as a meditative state.

If you do your research about theta state, you will come to know that this frequency range of 4-7 Hz triggers our subconscious mind and that is a piece of great news because Law Of Attraction has proven that your affirmations work most effectively when they come out of your subconscious state of mind. Anyway, I further googled and found a few free MP3 audio files having the sound of frequencies ranging from 4 to 7 Hz. I listened to MP3 files using my headphone. And that was my Eureka moment. How effective will be mantra chanting in theta state? Nobody has tried it yet. So, finally, my experiments with Mantras has begun. So far, I have only followed what others said, but this will be my first experiment of my own.

Yesterday, I chanted “Om Shreem Brzee” with my theta state frequency in the background. I will do it for a few days, and I will complete this blog post with the result of my experiment.

I wrote this post on 18th July and left it with a note that I will complete the post after I see the manifestation of my new experiment. I think the time has come to finish this post.

As I had written in the beginning, the period between 2005 and 2007 was pretty bad for me. In addition to all the wrong things, I had a small heart attack in 2006. Well, last week I was checking the outgoings in my bank account, and I saw that my insurance premium has gone to a whopping $450 per month. Here in New Zealand, it keeps on going up every year, especially if you have acquired a new health-related issue. I decided to call them to reduce my insurance cover.

The help desk guy told me that your insurance covers you for life, trauma and partial disability. I asked to reduce my life cover and remove injury and partial disability cover. He said, why do you want to remove the trauma cover because that is the one that most of the people claim. I told him about my heart attack in 2006, and he was surprised why I did not claim it. And he sent me a few forms to fill and said all your medical records would be available in your hospital, get them from there, attach it with the claim form and email me back. It is difficult for the bank to accept a claim after ten years, but there is nothing wrong in trying. I did what he asked me to do and forgot about it as he was also looking a bit doubtful anyway. I thought he is just trying to be helpful. Nevertheless, they asked for more papers related to my health, to which I said, it is impossible to dig those records after 10-15 years, and I am not going to waste my time. For me, that was the end of my communication with the bank regarding my claim.

But guess what! I get a phone call from the bank that my claim has been accepted, and they will let me know the details, once the payment is processed. And can you guess what the amount was? It was whopping $110000. Now, many of you might say, miracles do take place, or it was a sheer coincidence of calling the right person at the right time or something like that. But I look at this incident differently. When we so-called knowledgeable people do not understand any phenomenon of our universe, we give it a name like a miracle, coincidence, luck, fate etc. But tell me one thing, when the whole world, moon, sun, stars etc. are moving and existing with so much of accurate mathematical precision, will it not be stupidity to say, Oh! It was just a sheer miracle! Is it not being too dumb to say that?

Whatever you might say, but I attribute this so-called “Miracle” to the power of mantras.

I come to two conclusions:

1) Chanting of Mantras for inner peace have a more pronounced effect in the theta state.

2) When I created the following two videos, my mantras were further empowered by creative visualization.

I wrote this post a few years ago and I am updating this in 2020. The reason is that I came to know something new. I came to know that because of some strange reasons, Shreem Brzee mantra is not working very effectively for everybody. When I did more research, I was enlightened that Shreem Brzee doesn’t work well if your Manipur Chakra is weak. I won’t go into the details of Chakras as I plan to write a separate post on that. But I will give you a link about how to strengthen your Manipur Chakra and you may find it here.

This is my personal experience. Most of the times we sabotage our  success by lying about our self to our self. Isn’t so awkward and shocking? But it is true. And I don’t know why we do it. So after all what is the Key to Success? Do we think that we are not yet ready for a huge success and hence we our self become an obstruction to our own success. Or we start thinking that this success looks to be too good to be true? So somehow we deliberately generate these negative thoughts to avoid our success.

Following are the three deep negative thoughts that you get immersed in, in order to avoid success.

  1. I don’t know where to begin: Well, nobody knows where to begin. Bill Gates never had a step by step plan before he established Microsoft. An idea came in a flash of a moment and he just begun. Instead of keeping the idea within himself and keep thinking about it, he took action. Waiting for perfecting the idea before implementing it, is known as being creatively constipated. You get an idea, start working on it and then keep improving as you go further towards your goal.
  2. I don’t have enough money: Luckily, we belong to an era where any “New Idea” has a propensity to hit a gold mine. Getting and implementing an innovative idea is key to success. Take the case of Uber. It was just an idea. Owner of Uber has no cabs, no drivers and no infrastructure. Gone are the days when any New Startup required huge amount of money. Beside this, Most of the millionaires were born like very average people. When you take action, When you want something very badly and your intention has clarity, the whole universe conspires to make it happen.
  3. I can’t do it all by myself: Very few people are lucky enough to get a right mentor at the right time. But think  about it, if your idea is very non conventional but too creative, you are the best person to implement it. However, you can read books closely suitable to your idea  and hypothetically make the author or a character of the  book your mentor. I am sure you can get guidance through this character as and when required.

However, Experts have found one fact. All the people who turned their passion / dream into a great success, had one common factor and it was not “Hard Work”. They all share a  little known secret about their brain. And that is the main key to success.

This post will help all those parents who unnecessarily have illogical great expectations from their children and keep moaning that their kids do not listen to them. Well, when you decided to have a baby, it was yours and your spouse’s decision and no consent was taken from the baby who was going to take birth. So, you have to maintain that one sided love and in 99% of the cases your love will be reciprocated but if it is not the case you need to continue loving your own creation. This will help you live in peace. You are having an unnecessary stress because you are considering them as your asset or an investment which is totally wrong from your part. Remember, they have come to this world to perform their journey not yours.

Your guidance may help them in their life but final decision has to be theirs. You should never ever try to control their soul on the pretext of guiding them. They are your creations and it is your duty to give them unconditional love even if it has to be one sided.

Many a times, I have seen, parents wish to fulfill their dreams through their children which is so unfair. They might have totally different expectations from life. It is your duty to help them achieve their dreams instead of you imposing your desires on them.

Another type of parents I have come across are the ones who literally want to control their children’s life on the name of guiding them to take the right path. Come on guys, your kids are not your pets.

Religion plays a very important role in enslaving kids. Let them have a chance to be a thinker. Do not force them to follow what you followed all your life. May be, they will come out with some revolutionary ideas. Why do you want to decide for them what is right and what is wrong. Teach them how to think rather than forcing them what to think.

If you browse through the movies in the film industry, you will find hundreds of movies showing all negative emotions, how parents sacrificed so much for their kids only to be treated so badly in their old age. Come on, your kids are your creation, not your investment. You have not raised them so that one day when they grow up, they will serve you all their life.

I am writing here considering the worst case scenarios when things go wrong because of the problems that we parents create and the kids are not left with any other option than turning vindictive. If we parents, enrich the life our kids with positive emotional bond rather than imposing our ideologies, I am sure, they will positively reciprocate with all their heart.



Is Happiness an illusion?

Oh, This Happiness!!!

We are all trying to be happy. But what is happiness? Every day we make a new target that if I achieve this, I will be satisfied. So many people are striving so hard to have a happy retirement. Does it happen? Or Is happiness an illusion only? As soon as we achieve a target, we create a new destination for ourselves. And this search of bliss goes on and, on and finally we take a final breath without achieving this “Happiness”. So I decided to find what is exactly happiness. Why it always keeps running away from us. Last week I decided to make a list of all the moments that made me happy, and I still remember those moments. The outcome was so surprising that I thought of sharing with you all. So my list goes like this:

  1. Once I was bedridden for about a week because of my lower back pain. I was at home with my seven years old daughter. She instructed me early in the morning. Don’t try to get up at all. I am in my room, call me if you need anything. That sentence still sounds like music to me and brings a smile on my face.
  2. We once went to a local cafe to celebrate my older daughter’s birthday. She had turned 16. I asked the young waitress for a glass of chardonnay, she brought it, but when I took the first sip, I told everybody that I think, she gave me sauvignon blanc instead of chardonnay. I tried to call the waitress, but my daughter stopped me saying, Dad, the cafe is full, and she looks too stressed out. Please drink whatever it is. I was suddenly so surprised that when my little teenager became so responsible and mature!! I still remember her expression when she asked me assertively.
  3. Once we took my daughter’s pet bunny, Beethoven, to a vet for something very minor. Beethoven was to be given an injection. As soon as the vet put him on the table, he sensed that something is not right, and suddenly he climbed all over me. I still remember my daughter screaming, Oh dad, and he knows that you only maybe his saviour.


4. I am a big fan of Lego blocks. When my kids were little, I always asked them if they would love to have Lego on their birthdays? They always politely responded, “No, dad”. I got a surprise of my life when my grown-up daughters combined to give large Lego blocks set on my 50th birthday. I was so happy to know how these guys remember something that happened 15 years back.

5. I had a heart attack in 2006, following which my doctor had strictly asked me to stop smoking (obviously). I was trying my best to stop smoking. One day my daughter came home excitedly and told me, Dad, I found a book “How to quit smoking” in the library, and I have hidden the book at the end of the shelf so that somebody else should not be able to get it issued. So let us go and get it now.
6. I was always a camera conscious person. I made many videos, but they were all made either by converting a slide show into a video or using “On-Screen Recording”. One day, I decided, let what may happen, but I will go in front of the camera and record the video using my webcam. And after many retakes, finally, I made the video. Guys, that process of overcoming my camera consciousness brought so much delight to me that I can’t express it here. When I look back at the memory lane, I never remember what video brought maximum clicks or got many likes or generated dollars. But what brings a smile on my face, is that the very first video that I recorded using a webcam.

Guys, I have not created this list to write this blog post. I made this list of events that I always remember and that still bring joy to me. It is not a coincidence that I never recalled when I got a lucrative job or when I topped in that exam or when I started my own business. There is a thin line of difference between being happy and getting relieved. We are always so stressed out for paying bills etc. that we subconsciously start thinking that we will be pleased after we achieve this or when I get more money or get that. These results will not bring happiness but help us get relieved.

If you don’t believe what I have written about happiness, try making your list of happy moments and then ponder over the content of your list. You will surprise yourself over what makes you happy. So stop waiting for that day when you will be satisfied and start loving your life journey, enjoy the process and be happy now.

Finally, I will bring the most controversial issue of all time. Can money buy happiness? Thousands of words have been written on this. My experience about it has been quite unusual. Well, 2016-2017 had been quite good years for me as far as finance is concerned, I did pretty well when I compare with the years before that. Did it make me happier? Well, just having dollars in the bank doesn’t make you very happy, but its indirect results are fantastic, and it creates such conditions that you always feel to be over the moon. I remember one experience. We travelled to Queens Town for vacation, and my daughters were discussing whether they should do paragliding or parasailing (anticipating that both of the adventures may not be allowed by us). I very casually said, okay, let us go for parasailing today and if the weather permits, we will do paragliding tomorrow. They were stunned, and their facial expression was enough for me to trigger that feel-good factor. Although my happiness was not directly caused by money, money was indirectly responsible for that.

Why We Must Find Our Life Purpose

I just finished reading Dr. Brian L Weiss’s book “Same Soul Many Masters”. What an incredible book! Just by reading it, my mind, brain, heart and soul, all were at peace at least for a week. Book is all about our life purpose. Our life is not just an
accident. Dr. Brian L Weiss has beautifully narrated Life Purposewhy every person who comes to this earth, comes to learn what he could not learn in his previous birth. That is why, all of us are unique and our lives are so different from each other. Life is simple but we insist to complicate it by trying to be somebody else rather than be ourselves. Your reason to come to this earth is entirely different from mine. I have come here to learn something different from you and so even if I try to copy every single act of yours, my end result will be different because the universe will create different circumstances for me so that I could learn what I could not learn in my previous life.

But, my reason to write this post was not to review “Same Soul Many Masters”. My reason to write this post was, to try to know whether it is really possible to find our life purpose by reviewing the trends of our first twenty, forty or more numbers of years of our lives. Then I thought, why don’t I begin by reviewing my own life and try to find what I have come to learn in my present incarnation.


It was not easy. Once you start thinking about your life, you are not able to find any weaknesses in your personality. Every problem that you come across looks to be the result of somebody Else’s trick or bad action or behavior. Then, I explored further, explaining to myself that I am doing this exercise to improve my own life. I have to crush my ego if I have to really learn my life purpose. I don’t need to justify the reasons for my defeats to anybody. So, with my newly found knowledge, I again did the same exercise of rewinding my life to find any traces of certain trends which may give some clues about my life purpose. First thing that came to mind was a tendency to procrastinate. But it was too general a term to throw any light on something as specific as life purpose. I drilled in further. After all there must be some reason for procrastination as far as most of my actions are concerned. Then, I focused more to find  under what kind of circumstances I tend to procrastinate? I normally have tendency to procrastinate when I have to implement my own idea or when I need to do something because I want to do it. I never ever procrastinate when somebody else tells me to do something. And that was my eureka moment. I  never ever able to keep my life under my control. My life purpose is to learn to be in control and give direction to my life. And that is why, since childhood, I had  always been surrounded by people who wanted to control me. There were always people who wanted to direct me. And it looked that my life mission was to follow orders. They wanted me to think in a certain way, they wanted me to do certain things, they wanted me to follow certain religion or cult. And like a dumb person, I was doing all I was asked to do. The universe was deliberately creating these circumstances so that I could learn to be in control. There used to be vacuum when nobody was telling me to do anything and then only I normally procrastinate.

It took me 54 years to find my life purpose. Just imagine, how different my life would have been if I had found my life purpose at the age of 20 or earlier?
